Who we are...

Marino Marrè's shipyard was founded in 1989.

During the early years, its business revolved around the repair of pleasure boats, although way back in 1990 the owner was offered the chance to rig work boats for associations of maritime and dock pilots.

These work experiences turned out to be extremely useful in the following years, as they enabled the shipyard to develop an excellent technical background.

Thanks to the building of work boats, Marrè's shipyard's name crossed the limits of Liguria and became known in the nautical community, both in Italy and abroad.

In the mid-nineties the shipyard's owner started to work in harness with developer Umberto Tagliavini Marine Design , in order to produce a new type of hull. Together, they intended to facilitate the work of dock pilots by creating a boat that could be used indifferently in favourable and prohibitive weather conditions, coupling excellent speed with great stability and control.

The first boat saw the light in 1996 and was to be used by the pilots working in the port of Sant'Antioco (Sardegna). The second boat followed shortly afterwards and it was designed for the pilots of Savona ( Liguria ).

Since then, the shipyard carried out a number of new and ambitious projects that reflected the dynamic and innovative personality of its founder, obtaining in addition the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Certification. Marino Marre's shipyard's latest achievement was the construction of the four tender boats destined to the Italian Navy aircraft carrier.

The shipyard has an outer yard of more than 1000mq and an indoor heated area of about 850 mq, which also includes office space and a warehouse.

The Sea Worker

The Sea Worker's hull is built directly in our shipyard, with manual rolling and the use of isophthalic resins. On all our boats we use materials such as stainless steel (Acciaio Inox 316) for all deck's equipment, such as bitts, handrails, windows (optional) and wherever necessary; stainless steel is also used for fuel tanks with inspection hatchways. Marine plywood is used for interior design and furnishings. The entire boat is protected with rubber fenders, pneumatic bumpers and treadmaster anti-slip deck covering. Bronze valves and bronze sea water intakes and discharges are usued for piping and plant engineering. Only certified components are used for the electric system. The engine room is completely insulated and protected with fire-fighting equipment CO2. Other equipments include thermal insulating glass and professional windscreen wipers on the front windows, decantation boxes and customized engines.

Needless to say, thanks to the shipyard flexibility we are able to come up with customized solutions in order to meet the needs of our clients concerning both the engine and the interior or exterior design.

The Sea worker is suitable for the broadest range of uses, from harbour piloting and mooring to fishing.
